The Structured TEACCHing Foundations workshop aims to provide participants with an overview of the learning styles of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the Structured TEACCHing Model. Structured TEACCHing is based on understanding the symptoms and learning styles of people with autism and on the use of visual aids to provide meaning, promote independence based on the strengths of the person. The workshop will teach background-based behavior management strategies using the principles of structured TEACCHing. The format of this workshop will include presentations, videos, interactive discussions based on case studies, and homework assignments.
